Deus Ex Machina at the Malle Mile

Deus ex Machina (god from the machine) roared into Australia’s cultural consciousness in 2006, with some neatly customised motorcycles and a quaint notion… these days they’re the epitome of all things cool; custom bikes, surfboards, clothing, cafes & live events. They even have a god-damn record label!
So it was inevitable when we met that there would be some mutual respect for one another… A nod to ‘those that know’.
Silver Belles are supplying Deus Ex Machina with various vintage Airstreams for their partnership events, and the latest get together was quite special; The Malle Mile.
The Mile is a motorcycle exhibition in motion, a ‘Gentlemanly’ race for the men and women who share the ideology – that motorcycles are there to be ridden.
The idea for ‘The Malle Mile’ started when they tried to enter The Mille Miglia an infamous 1000 mile race through Italy – unfortunately it was stopped in 1957 because it was just too dangerous and competitive. But the idea of hosting a non- competitive race to bring the moto community together was born.
The Mile is a celebration of motorcycling, racing, custom machines, music, British motor-sports heritage and the British summertime.
